Hummus. It’s not just for pita chips and carrot sticks anymore. Now it’s also for dessert!
And why not? People have been devouring raw cookie dough for centuries now (maybe don’t fat check me on that one…). The scare of salmonella hasn’t even turned people off. Guilt, part of one here!
But, chickpeas, the main ingredient in your traditional savory hummuses (hummusi??) also makes the perfect, creamy base for DESSERT hummus aka raw cookie doughs 😉
Better yet, this peanut butter cookie dough dessert hummus only takes 4 ingredients and less time to make than it takes Taylor Swift to find a new boyfriend. Soooo….pretty darn quick.
You can also sub out the powdered peanut butter for any other nut butter to make an allergy-friendly version/if you’re just an almond butter addict.
P.S. When is someone going to come out with other powdered nut butters? There are now a trillion different powdered peanut butters, but where’s the powdered almond butter!? Just saying…
