Welcome!
ABOUT KAYLIE
Hi! I’m Kaylie and welcome to the place where all things scrumptious live! I’m a Registered Dietitian with a mission to make desserts as nutritious as they are delicious! I love creating dessert recipes that are easy to make, don’t require a lot of time or fancy equipment, and most of all, taste like the less nutritious desserts you love.
WHY I BLOG
I love busting the myth that healthy foods can’t be crave-worthy!
I like to say, I don’t have just one sweet tooth, all my teeth are sweet. And I always wanted to have dessert over any other meal, so I figured if I could make a dessert that was loaded with nutrients, packed with protein, crammed with complex carbs, and fixed with healthy fats, I’d be on my way to desserts all day! (OK, kidding! Maybe not ALL day….maybe….)
After feeling super accomplished for making the BEST ooey gooey, gluten free, and vegan brownies (the first recipe I actually created), I knew I had to create more! And after creating more I knew I wanted to share my recipes because I know you are as much of a dessert lover as I am.
If you have a look around the blog I’m sure you’ll find a recipe to curb you’re craving, whether you’re looking for a well-balanced afternoon snack, a high protein post workout dessert, or a nutritiously sweet breakfast to power your morning.
And if you want to drop by and say hello, share a pic if you made one of my recipes, or ask a question, I like to hang out on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter, so stop on by or drop me an email! Reader comments make my day!
FUN FACTS
I love things that start with a “p” (not on purpose…it just worked out that way). Some of my fave things are pineapples, palm trees, and penguins. Oh, and the color turquoise (or Tiffany’s Blue if you want to whip out your box of Crayola’s and get reallllll specific). That’s the odd one out 😉
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance (to paraphrase The Simpsons, “the boring kind, not the stripper kind”), and one in Human Nutrition.
